A graphic featuring the games confirmed for Xbox / PC over the next 12 months did not include Hollow Knight: Silksong. Interestingly, while no release date was provided, the Xbox showcase is focusing on games youll be able to play in the next 12 months.
While the release date remains murky, Silksong did receive a new trailer earlier today along with confirmation that it would be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

However, it does appear that it will finally be released sometime between now and June 2023 after a lengthy wait. The confusion stemmed from a graphic listing every game coming to Xbox and PC over the next 12 months, which appeared to omit Silksong. Years later, in June 2022, we saw the game again during Xboxs summer showcase, which pledged that it would show games coming out in the next 12 months. Xbox and Bethesdas Starfield is releasing much later than expected, and doing so means that other games like Silksong could be even farther off. Fans in a recent ResetEra poll were asked whether they expect to see the game around or before that date, and an overwhelming 90 said theyd lost hope. Xbox head of global gaming Sarah Bond also confirmed that Silksong would be available within the year. Hollow Knight: Silksong is another one of those games that was shown at the event and yet isnt expected to release before the 12th of June this year. Players will control the character Hornet, who is agile and wields a needle weapon. Silksong is set in the haunted kingdom of Pharloom, a visually stunning yet gloomy area. While Team Cherry itself has yet to officially announce a release date, the Xbox Twitter account confirmed Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch by June.
